Extended Volume Group on AIX

Как добавить диск в Volume Group(VG).

• Добавляем свободный диск в VG

extendvg my_vg hdisk5
0516-1162 extendvg: Warning, The Physical Partition Size of 64 requires the
creation of 8000 partitions for hdisk5. The limitation for volume group
my_vg is 3048 physical partitions per physical volume. Use chvg command
with -t option to attempt to change the maximum Physical Partitions per
Physical volume for this volume group.
0516-792 extendvg: Unable to extend volume group.
Получаем ошибку, что привешен лимит Physical Partition (PP).

• Выбираем из таблицы «Original VG» нужный нам Factor в зависимости от нужного там «Max PV’s» и «Max PP’s per PV»

lsvg my_vg
MAX PPs per VG: 30480
MAX PPs per PV: 3048 MAX PVs: 10

chvg -t 8 my_vg

lsvg my_vg
MAX PPs per VG: 32512
MAX PPs per PV: 8128 MAX PVs: 4

• Повторно добавляем диск

extendvg my_vg hdisk5
